The 3 Red Light or RRoD (Red Ring of Death) Problem is very common, it is caused by cold (dry) solder joints, under either the CPU or GPU processors due to the heat sink mounting design and lead free solder used in accordance to RoHS in older 360's.

Although our customers have a very high success rates (See the reviews) using our kits, We are unable to offer this service as we would not be able to guarantee the repair, your best defense against the dreaded RROD is to buy a new console, Microsoft have superseded the older models with the latest Jasper model using 65nm GPU technology, which basicly means they run cooler and are more reliable.

To repair a RROD correctly requires a BGA reflow machine and X-RAY analysis/inspection equipment, the cost for these units range from $100K  to $1M as far as Im aware there is no such equipment in NZ Which is why Microsoft sends their units to Australia to get repaired.

If your Xbox 360 is untouched and you have this problem contact microsoft as they have extended their warranty to 3 years for this problem.

There is no guarantee this will work but if you have modified your 360 in any way that may have voided your warranty then you have nothing to lose, I have tried numerous methods available on the net, and have found this one to have the highest success rate.

This kit consists of the parts you require to do this repair, some of the parts are fairly easy to find you can probably put the kit together yourself. Otherwise if you have trouble sourcing the parts and want everything you need in one kit then this is what you need. this kit will do both the CPU and GPU.

You will require thermal compound which can be found at any good pc store I recommend Arctic Silver <$10, You will also require an allen key set and a T8 and T10 Torx screw driver Dick Smiths sell these <$15, and some Isopropyl Alcohol Most chemists and some Four Square stores sell small bottles of this for a few dollars.
